Because of the different harvest seasons of various crops and the temperature difference between the north and the south, the drying effect and operation cost must be considered. If the coastal areas avoid drying grains in low temperature and humid weather as far as possible, otherwise the dehydration effect is poor, the productivity is low and the drying cost is high. Nearly half of the drying time in the northern region is below 0 C. The lower the external temperature, the higher the unit heat consumption and the higher the cost. Therefore, thermal insulation layer should be added to the outer wall of drying tower and hot air pipeline operating below 0 C in the north to reduce heat loss.
